JobTrain has been a proud partner of Second Harvest Food Bank. Earlier this year, our incredible staff and students worked collectively to donate approximately 800 pounds of food for families in need.
We believe that summer internships are critically important for our youth and for helping to create a thriving community. JobTrain was able to provide wonderful work opportunities for ten summer interns through funding from the Kimball Foundation. It was terrific being able to place some of our interns at our local Second Harvest Food Bank.
JobTrain is extremely proud of these interns! They worked diligently and compassionately, and greatly impressed their supervisor:
“We are so grateful to have such wonderful young adult interns who have such a BIG heart. They are absolutely marvelous and have great personalities. Their work ethic is outstanding. Thank you for helping to make these young people become successful adults.” – Rita Guntern, Volunteer Services Manager, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties
