WinnCompanies is actively hiring for several Maintenance Technician I and Maintenance Technician II opportunities in the Oakland, CA area.

Whether you’re beginning your maintenance career or bringing years of experience, we’re looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, or HVAC systems.

In these roles, you’ll perform maintenance functions throughout the community, including residential apartments, common areas, offices, grounds, and building systems. You’ll complete service requests, assist with apartment turns, support preventative maintenance activities, and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in such areas as, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
• Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market-ready status in accordance with company standards.
• Support preventative maintenance programs, property inspections, and general upkeep activities.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through landscaping, trash management, and other site maintenance activities.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and business need.

Requirements

Maintenance Technician I

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
