Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join a dynamic local healthcare team in a long-term care setting. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. As a CNA, you will be instrumental in supporting the health and well-being of the facility’s patients through attentive caregiving, precise documentation, and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote comfort and independence.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; report any abnormalities promptly.
• Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices at all times.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies.
• Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), and medication administration under supervision.
• Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient service

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
• Demonstrated experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical records management.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices while assisting patients or transferring equipment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients of diverse backgrounds—including those with developmental disabilities—and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required
