Position Summary:
The Education Coordinator performs and provides coordination for department functions and processes to ensure regulatory compliance in issues of orientation, safety, staff development, and patient/family education.
In coordination with the Clinical Nurse Educators, Department Managers and the Director, the Education Coordinator implements educational programs, equipment training, and clinical outcomes evaluation; creates and maintains organizational systems that support the department in those areas.
Adult learning principles will be utilized to appropriately match the educational and professional needs and requirements of the staff in providing necessary and complementary educational programs.
Minimum:
High School Graduate or GED
Preferred:
Two (2) years recent related experience in hospital or health related field; experience in adult education
Bachelors Other Health Education or Health related field
A high degree of proficiency with computer software programs and operating skills such as the Google platform and Microsoft Office
