Position: Remote Bookkeeper for Northern Dental Group

Northern Dental Group is seeking an experienced and highly organized Remote Bookkeeper to join our growing team. As a leading and well-established dental practice, we take pride in providing exceptional dental care to our patients and offering a positive work environment for our employees.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for our practice. You will work closely with the practice manager and CFO to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and provide support in making strategic business decisions.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent numerical and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities:

– Manage all bookkeeping tasks for the dental practice, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

– Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting principles.

– Process and record patient payments, insurance claims, and refunds accurately and in a timely manner.

– Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing financial statements and analyzing variances.

– Collaborate with the practice manager and CFO to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.

– Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy of financial data.

– Provide administrative support to the practice manager and CFO in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contract terms.

– Communicate and collaborate with other team members remotely, maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

 

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

– 2-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting.

– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

– Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

– Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and tasks.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– High level of integrity and professionalism.

– Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
