Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Offer quick, correct, precise and friendly service that is respectful and accommodating of the guest’s requests of selections and timeliness of service
  • Describe menu items to guests and/or suggest products that might be appealing by explaining the product details and preparation descriptions
  • Stock necessary products for the successful operation of the outlet
  • Stock customer stations with paper products of beverage preparation items
  • Weight, grind and pack coffee beans as needed
  • Complete all side work
  • Offer guests an enjoyable and expertly served coffee  experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence, quality, professionalism and friendliness
  • Prepare and serve hot and/or cold specialty coffees, wine and various beverages.
  • Clean and sanitize work station daily
  • Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators and/or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Control cleanliness in the area
  • Assist in the overall operation of the outlet whenever needed
  • Inform the manager or assistant of all customer complaints and makes appropriate efforts to correct the problem
  • Always offer professional and engaging service
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other employees
  • Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple drink orders at once
  • The Barista position requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day
  • The ideal candidate will have a confident outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure is essential and applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Applicants must have current barista experience and a valid California Food Handler’s
  • Certification required
  • Must be flexible with schedule – Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Must already be legally permitted to work in the United States – Visa sponsorship is not available
