Yvelle G.
Helping people achieve their full potential is Yvelle's motto and mission in life. She graduated from Columbia College with a B.A. in Communications and served more than a decade in the United States Army Reserve. In addition to helping people, Yvelle is adamant about helping and preserving the environment. After extensive research in environmental and green technology training programs in the Bay Area, Yvelle discovered JobTrain in 2008. She wanted to pursue both her passion and advance her skills by taking their Solar Training: Photovoltaic Design and Installation Program. Yvelle had a fantastic time studying at JobTrain. Her positive and upbeat demeanor helped her classmates tackle difficult subject matter. In fact, she inspired the women in her class by creating the "Solar Queens," a study group geared to help them pursue their dream jobs in the mostly male dominated solar industry. After graduating in 2008, both of Yvelle's dreams came to fruition. She was able to motivate people to pursue their dreams in sustainable environmental technology and began work as a Career Development Specialist at JobTrain.
