Organic Garden photo

In the November 2014 issue of Lawn & Landscape Magazine, the article: “Before it hits your belly” under the header “Good Works” tells the story of how Menlo Park business, Gachina Landscape Management, owned by longtime JobTrain friend and supporter, John Gachina, partnered with JobTrain to create an organic garden to benefit JobTrain students and individuals and families throughout the community.  Those involved with the project will learn the basics of how organically grown food is grown and progresses from the ground to their dinner table.

Gachina Landscape Management donated labor and materials to this unique project and JobTrain’s Culinary Arts students will using the fresh, organic produce in their recipes.  JobTrain’s Project Build construction class will also be working on building planter boxes and other items for the garden.
