Executive Staff
Sharon Williams, Executive Director Sharon has served as Executive Director of JobTrain since 1979. She began her career at JobTrain in 1973 as a GED instructor. Under Sharon’s leadership, JobTrain grew from a small non-profit into a highly acclaimed and accredited vocational training and placement institution. Sharon sits on several community boards including the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits. Sharon was honored with the Career Action Center’s Woman of Vision Award, the Palo Alto Chamber’s Athena Award, induction into the San Mateo County Women’s Hall of Fame and the University of the Pacific’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
Sharon earned her BA in English from University of the Pacific and her General Secondary Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University. She is married and has one daughter.
Alonzo Emery, Director of Program Operations Alonzo has been with JobTrain since 1998, and has nearly 30 years of experience working in a social service environment with youth and adults. He is responsible for managing, developing and maintaining quality in all training areas including vocational, pre-vocational, and academic and life-skills. Alonzo manages training staff, evaluates current training components, researches new training areas and techniques, and coordinates training with outside sources. Prior to joining JobTrain, Alonzo worked as Community Service Coordinator with Arizona Boys Ranch, a detention center that stressed education and rehabilitation. Alonzo is a graduate of Arizona State University with a BA in Education.
Eric Forgaard, Director of Administrative Services Eric has been with JobTrain since 2007. During his ten years prior to joining JobTrain, Eric worked in systems management, office management, human resources and web design in Washington, D.C. Eric is responsible for Human Resources functions, and he oversees the Facilities, IT and Child Development departments. He also assists in a variety of special projects for the Organization in general and the Executive Director in particular. Eric graduated with honors from San Francisco State University with a BA in Humanities, and is currently working toward an MA in Humanities at SFSU.
Eric is a member of the San Mateo County Employer Advisory Council and the California Child Development Administrators Association.
Christal Lee (Min Choo Lee), Director of Finance Christal was appointed Director of Finance for JobTrain in July 2006. She is responsible for the organization’s financial operations and executive financial management. Prior to her Director of Finance appointment, Christal was an accountant with JobTrain. Prior to joining JobTrain, Christal was an accountant with a local CPA firm where she specialized in outsourced bookkeeping, payroll and tax filing.
Christal graduated with honors from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance. She later earned a Masters of Accounting from the University of Western Australia and Masters of Science in Computers from Santa Clara University. Christal is an Certified Practicing Accountant of Australia (CPA Australia).
